My father migrated from Yorkshire and my mother was from Perth. My parents moved to Geraldton, purchased land in Tarcoola and developed housing lots, started Tarcoola Caravan Park and Ernies Roadhouse (now Puma).
Although born in Geraldton I spent some time in Perth before returning home. I continue to work in training, community services and youth work as well as volunteering with MWMA. For many years I was involved in belly dancing and am currently with dancing with the Natya Indian Classical and Bollywood group
Born in East Java from Indonesian parents. Represented Tuban City in traditional dance as the Tourism Ambassador in Indonesia. Married an Australian and migrated to West Australia in 2007, first living in the Margaret River region.
Undertook an apprenticeship as a chef at TAFE Margaret River and a local fine dining restaurant and now work as a fully qualified chef.
